How do I charge my UVBrite bottle?

Your UVBrite bottle can be charged by using a USB-C cable. The port is located on the lid, under a waterproof flap. A charging cable is included with every bottle and can be plugged into any USB power plug or the USB port of a computer.

How do I activate the purification cycle?

The purification cycle can be activated by pressing the top button once for the Normal mode or twice for Blitz mode.

Do UVBrite bottles keep water hot or cold?

UVBrite bottles will keep water hot or cold for up to 12-hours.

What is the difference between Normal and Blitz modes?

Normal mode is either a 90-second or 180-second cycle depending on the bottle. Blitz mode runs for either 180-seconds or 300-seconds depending on the bottle.

Normal mode is great for water from known sources such as water fountains, home water, etc. Blitz mode is recommended for water from sources that are not trusted and require extra purification.

Please note that the purification system will only work on clear water. Murky water or water with physical impurities will affect the efficacy of the purification system.

Does UVBrite remove physical impurities such as chlorine, heavy metals or fluoride?

The UVBrite system does not have any filters to remove physical impurities from the water. The technology, however, is effective in eliminating up to 99.99% of microbes in the Normal mode and reduces the build-up of microbes inside the bottle, which causes odors and can cause ss.

What is the safety lock and how does it work?

Accidental exposure of UV-C light to the eyes can cause damage to the cornea. To prevent this from happening, all UVBrite products have a safety lock built-in. This lock prevents the purification system from working if the lid is not securely fastened on the bottle, or if the lid is removed while a cycle is ongoing.

UVBrite Explorer

What is the touch sensor lock on the UVBrite Explorer bottle?

The touch sensor lock is recommended when storing the bottle for an extended period of time. It prevents the automatic self-cleaning cycle from activating every 6-hours and disables the touch sensor.

How do you activate and deactivate the touch sensor lock on the UVBrite Explorer bottle?

To activate the touch sensor lock, press and hold the touch sensor for 5-seconds or until the touch sensor flashes red once.

To deactivate the touch sensor lock, press and hold the touch sensor for 5-seconds or until the touch sensor flashes red two times.

Please note that while the touch sensor lock is activated, the automatic self-cleaning mode is disabled.

What is the capacity of the UVBrite Explorer Bottle?

The UVBrite Explorer bottle has a capacity of 20.3 fl oz (600 ml).

What is the difference between Normal and Blitz modes?

Have the UVBrite bottles been tested?

All UVBrite bottles have been extensively tested against E. coli by independent laboratories. You can find more information on this here <link to="" technology="" page="">

Does UVBrite use mercury lamps?

Definitely not! We use UV-C LED technology in all of our products, which is safe, power efficient and can last significantly longer than traditional mercury lamps.

How long does the UV-C LED last?

The LEDs that we use in our products have been rated to last at least 10,000 hours. This means that if running a standard 90-second cycle, the LED can last up to 400,000 cycles, or purify 6,250 gallons of water!

Are UVBrite bottles safe to use?

Yes, UVBrite bottles are 100% safe to use. Similar to microwave ovens, the UV-C light only works when the system is switched on. When the system is off, the water is completely safe to drink.

Uses & Cleaning

Can I fly with my UVBrite water bottle?

You should not have any problems taking your UVBrite bottles on flights. Please ensure that the bottle is empty when going through security.

Some airlines may prevent carrying the UVBrite bottles in your checked luggage because of the Lithium-ion batteries inside.

Can I use my UVBrite bottles to purify water from streams while hiking or camping?

Yes, you most definitely can. The bottles will eliminate up to 99.99% of microbes from the water, ensuring that it is pure and free from disease-causing germs. However, the system will not remove physical impurities from water.

We recommend only consuming water that is clear to the eyes. This allows the purification system to work at full efficiency, and run a Blitz mode cycle instead of the normal one.

Can I fill my water up with other liquids such as tea, coffee or juices?

Yes, you can, but we don’t recommend it. The bottle will work perfectly well for storing any liquids in an insulated environment. However, the bottle will have to be cleaned properly before it can be reused with water. This is to ensure that there is no buildup of residue which could impact the efficacy of the purification system.

How do I clean my UV-C bottles?

Because of the self-cleaning functionality of UVBrite bottles, they don’t require frequent cleaning. However, we recommend cleaning the mouth of the bottle regularly with warm soapy water to stop residual buildup.

The lid can also be hand washed with warm, soapy water and air dried.

Is the lid waterproof?

Yes, the lid on a UVBrite water bottle is IPX7 waterproof. We recommend hand washing the lid in warm soapy water and air drying it completely before charging or use.
